How the calculators work
Understanding weighted averages and passing grades

Your overall grade is the weighted average of all your modules. Each module contributes to your final grade proportionally to its weight. For ungraded components, we calculate the minimum score needed so your weighted average reaches the passing threshold.


Formula: Needed Grade = (Passing Threshold × Total Weight − Points Already Earned) ÷ Remaining Weight
